“To clean and inhibit the scale formation, on the surfaces of process equipment which contacts circulating water and/or chemicals, is the main purpose of using OLKLIN-DS (RAD)”. Equipment like heat exchangers, vessels, piping etc. used in power plants, chemical and petrochemical plants, paper mills, sugar mills, pipelines, air conditioners in large buildings and many other industrial environments are subject to the formation of scale and thereby corrosion and other related problems which are self realized. To solve these problems and increase plant capacity we recommend the use of OLKLIN-DS (RAD).
The composition OLKLIN-DS (RAD) for descaling, cleaning and inhibiting corrosion and scale formation on the surfaces of processing equipment comprises suitable blend of: powerful de-scaling agents, chelating agents, complexing agent for copper and other metals; and specially designed corrosion inhibitors.

The benefits of using OLKLIN-DS (RAD) are multifaceted as follows:
The composition serves to dissolve calcium and magnesium carbonates as well as generally hard sulphates and silicates.
If copper salts are present in the scale, they will dissolve and re-precipitate on iron surfaces causing severe localized corrosion. To avoid this we have added a special copper complexing additive which will insure the maintenance of any dissolved copper in a soluble state. In the absence of such a copper complexing agent, copper oxides which are present in any scale, will dissolve and then plate out as metallic copper causing severe pitting of the equipment and the piping systems.
It is an object of the OLKLIN-DS (RAD)to provide a non-toxic, industrial descaling and cleaning which is effective in removing scales and oxides from the surfaces of the process equipment used in various industries while avoiding corrosion to the equipment. To furnish this we have added a non-toxic inhibitor which serves to block the anodic and cathodic sites of structural steel commonly used in the fabrication of a variety of pieces of process equipment.
A mixture of chelating agents effective in dissolving iron oxide deposits, even sulphate-containing deposits is added to further facilitate the cleaning job.
It depends upon thickness, quantity, composition, especially age of scale and rusty deposits. As per general guideline use 20% solution of OLKLIN-DS (RAD) in water i.e. 20 kg for 100 litres of water is required (range 15% to 25%). During the cleaning job 1) maintain pH 2.0 during 2) temperature should not exceed 70°C. The benefits of the process of the cleaning can best be achieved by employing a temperature of about 70°C for a period of about eight (8) hours being preferred.
Radiator, engine head and water ways of vehicles in fitted condition, generator sets etc. having sophisticated, delicate and sensitive multi-metals (alloys) and stainless steel equipments.
For excellent results circulate hot 10% solution of OLKLIN-SOFT (POWDER) for 3-4 hours at 80°C. Drain out – rinse thoroughly and then clean with OLKLIN-DS (RAD).
