OLKLIN®-MS
MUTUAL SOLVENT
Introduction:
OLKLIN-MS-20 is a chemical additive for stimulation treatments that is soluble in oil, water and acid-based treatment fluids. Mutual solvents are routinely used in a range of applications, such as removing heavy hydrocarbon deposits, controlling the wettability of contact surfaces before, during or after a treatment, and preventing or breaking emulsions.

Benefits of using OLKLIN-MS-20:
- Multi-functional surfactant additive.
- Used in acid stimulation treatments up to 350°F (177°C).
- Compatible with all well stimulation additives.
- Soluble in oil, acid, and water to penetrate deep in the formation to dissolve oil films.
- It can be used in kerosene; diesel oil; light, clean crude oil; and aromatic solvents.
- Helps reduce surfactant adsorption onto the formation.
- It helps ensure that treating fluids remain compatible in the formation.
- It helps clean the formation and reduces water saturation around the wellbore, increasing the relative permeability of the formation adjacent to the wellbore.
- When used with anionic or nonionic surfactants, mutual solvent helps water-wet sandstone formations. It also helps reduce the oil-wetting effects of cationic surfactants.
- It helps reduce corrosion from return fluids.
- Mutual solvent helps disperse acid additives and slows the separation in the tank, providing more uniform treating fluids and improving the ability of the acid solution to mix well.
