Skin:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact can cause the following:
Slight irritation.
Inhalation:
Inhalation of vapor or mist can cause the following:
Irritation of nose, throat, and lung; headache, nausea.
Inhalation: Material is not expected to be harmful if inhaled. Move to fresh air for precaution.
Skin contact: Wash with water and soap as a precaution.
Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.

Flash point | Noncombustible |
Lower explosion limit | Not applicable |
Upper explosion limit | Not applicable |
Thermal decomposition / Auto ignition temp. | >302°F / 150°C |
Suitable extinguishing media:
Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire.
Specific hazards during fire fighting:
As with many solids, any dust that is generated may be explosive if mixed with air in critical proportions and in the presence of a source of ignition. Dried product can burn.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
CAUTION: Dispose off spills and cleaning runoff as per local / government rules and regulations.
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED.
Spilled material becomes very slippery when wet. Sweep up spills and place in a waste disposal container. Flush the area thoroughly with water and scrub to remove residue. If slipperiness remains, apply more dry-sweeping compound. Do not flush large quantities of the materials to sewer.
Vapors can be evolved when material is heated during processing operations. See SECTION 8, for types of ventilation required.
Spills should be scoop up immediately, and the spill area flushed with water.
Maintain good housekeeping to control dust accumulations. The material is hygroscopic and should not be exposed to moisture in order to maintain product integrity. To avoid product degradation and equipment corrosion, do not use iron, copper or aluminium containers or equipment.
Keep away from moisture / wet conditions, stability may be affected.
Exposure limit(s): Exposure limits are listed below, if they exist.
Eye protection: safety glasses with side-shields is recommended.
Hand protection: The glove(s) listed below may provide protection against permeation. Impermeable / Impervious gloves
Respiratory protection: A respiratory protection program meeting OSHA 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 requirements or equivalent should be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator's use. None required under normal operating conditions.
Protective measures: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with water source.
Engineering measures: Engineering controls are not usually necessary if good hygiene practices are followed. Before eating, drinking, or smoking, wash face and hands thoroughly with soap and water. Avoid unnecessary skin contact.
If necessary, refer to the current edition of Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice published by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists for information on the design, installation, use, and maintenance of exhaust systems.
